📲 How to Share QR Codes

Tikey supports QR code sharing for tickets stored in AXS, Ticketmaster, See Tickets, Gigs and Tours, DICE, MLB, Fnac Spectacles, and Tixr accounts.

QR sharing creates a private web link that displays the ticket barcode. The recipient opens that link on a phone and presents the QR code at the venue. They do not need access to your original ticket account.

QR sharing is not a ticket transfer. The ticket remains in the original account; you are only giving someone access to its barcode.

Before You Start

1. Open My Tickets.
2. Make sure the event and tickets are visible.
3. Check that the provider has released the QR code. Some tickets, especially Fnac tickets, may receive their QR only a few hours before the show.
4. Decide who should receive the link. Anyone with the URL can open the ticket QR.

Choose the Correct Platform

If your provider is not listed, QR sharing is not currently supported. Contact support to request it.

⚠️ AXS warning: an AXS QR can provide access to all seats from the same account for that event. Only share it if the recipient may access all of those seats.

Create a Share Link

1. Open the Event

• Go to My Tickets.
• Open the event containing the ticket.

2. Select the Tickets

• Check the box beside each ticket you want to share.
• Verify the event, section, row and seat before continuing.

3. Open the Share Window

• Click Actions → Share.
• Tikey opens the sharing window for the selected tickets.

4. Check the Platform-Specific Options

Most providers use the standard Share window, but the correct settings depend on the ticket platform. Before creating the link, open the matching guide in the platform table above.

For example, Ticketmaster tickets can use a moving barcode, a static QR code or an app-only format. The Ticketmaster QR Sharing guide shows each format with an example image and tells you exactly which option to select.

5. Configure the Link

• Choose an expiration when the option is available.
• For several Fnac tickets from the same event, keep Group tickets into one link enabled to create one URL. Disable it to create one URL per ticket.
• Tixr automatically groups the selected tickets into one link.

6. Create and Copy

1. Click Create Share Links (Create Share Link for Tixr).
2. Copy the generated URL.
3. Open it once to confirm that the correct event and ticket are displayed.
4. Send it privately to the intended recipient.

After Creating the Link

• Open Inventory → My Links to find, copy, open or delete an existing link.
• Do not create another link when the ticket already has an active one.
• For Fnac, use My Tickets → Refresh → Eventim → FNAC account if you need to check for a newer QR. The same share URL is updated.
• If the recipient already has a Fnac page open, they must reload it after Refresh.
• See Tickets, Gigs and Tours, and DICE links keep the static QR captured at creation. Refresh does not update those existing URLs.
• MLB links rotate automatically while the shared page stays open.
• Tixr links also display a live QR. Their saved ticket information remains available if the inventory ticket is deleted; use My Links to delete the share itself.

Keep the Link Safe

• Treat the share URL like the ticket itself.
• Do not publish it in a public message, screenshot or document.
• Use the shortest practical expiration.
• Delete the link from My Links when it is no longer needed.
