IMAP Manager
The IMAP Manager allows you to securely connect your email inboxes to Tikey so that the system can automatically retrieve password reset links and one-time codes.
Currently, IMAP integration is used for Ticketmaster password resets — more platforms and automation features will be added in future releases.
Overview
IMAP Manager enables you to:
- Connect Gmail inboxes via IMAP
- Securely store and encrypt credentials
- Automatically fetch Ticketmaster password reset links
- Complete password resets directly from Tikey
- Display the new password and automatically store the updated session, eliminating the need to log in manually
Setup Guide
1. Generate a Gmail App Password
Because Gmail does not allow direct login with your primary password over IMAP, you must use an App Password:
- Open your Google Account Security settings
- Enable Two-Step Verification if not already active
- Under "App Passwords," generate a new password:
- Choose Mail as the app
- Select Other (Custom Name) and enter a name such as "Tikey"
- Copy the generated 16-character password
2. Add Your Email in Tikey
- Navigate to Account Manager → IMAP Manager
- Click Add Account
- Complete the form:
- Email Address: your Gmail address
- Password: the App Password you generated
- Provider: Gmail (pre-selected)
- Account Name: optional label for your reference
- Optionally set this as your primary account
- Click Test Connection to verify
- Once successful, click Create Account
3. Link IMAP to Your Ticketmaster Accounts
- In Account Manager, locate the Ticketmaster account you wish to configure
- Click the three-dot menu
- Select Edit
- Choose the IMAP account you added in the Select IMAP Account dropdown
- Save changes
For faster onboarding, you can assign IMAP accounts to multiple Ticketmaster accounts at once using the Bulk Edit Mode.
4. Perform a Password Reset
- Open the three-dot menu next to the Ticketmaster account
- Select Reset Password
- Tikey will:
- Initiate a reset request with Ticketmaster
- Retrieve the reset email from your IMAP inbox
- Complete the password reset automatically
After completion, Tikey displays a confirmation modal containing the newly generated password and a copy button.
The new session is automatically stored, so you do not need to log in again manually.
Security
All IMAP credentials are encrypted at rest and in transit.
You may revoke access or delete an IMAP account at any time from the IMAP Manager interface.
